Perinatal Counselling

When to seek help

So how do you know if you need help or support as a new mom, pregnant mom, mom with a new baby and other children?


Here are some signs to know that you should check in with a counsellor:

  •  Crying frequently after week 8 post partum
  • having panic attacks
  • worry that won't leave you alone
  • obsessive fears and/or thoughts
  • feeling numb or distant
  • Trouble bonding with baby
  • not feeling joy or motivation
  • Feeling overwhelmed on a daily or semi daily basis
  • Unable to cope or feeling like you are drowning


We also help you if you:

  • had a traumatic birth
  • are struggling with guilt
  • are struggling with anger or resentment
  • have a hard time adjusting to this very new life
  • Body image concerns
  • discussions with you and partner about roles and responsibilities, etc.
